This drawing comes from a 4h long session that I had with Joanne Pirrie in Edinburgh during my visit in June this year. I took some photographs of Joanne in a floaty, beautiful skirt that I thought really exaggerated the movement. At the time I was very happy with it and excited about a challenge. Yet, whilst drawing this I grew to hate this skirt as it proves really difficult to portray! Nevertheless after all this work I think it was worth it. On this one Joanne is just coming down from a jump and looks very ephemeral and almost like descending from the sacred heights above 🙂

Hope you like it – I appreciate any feedback so please if you have any comments leave them behind. Thank you!
